Merry Christmas everyone!
We had a wonderful Christmas this year. Of course our biggest present was a new addition to our family and it was so fun to have him here for Christmas. I must say that Christmas with kids is the best and he's not even old enough to realize what's happening.
We spent Christmas eve at my parents house where played games and had a delicious dinner. My sisters and I weren't very helpful to mom because we were putting together the family book for the year. It's become a tradition to assemble letters and pictures of each family and put them in a book for my parents. It's really fun to look back through all the years and see what happened for each family. We had a short program with my family where Devin and I dressed up as Mary & Joseph and Tim was baby Jesus. It was great! Then we opened the traditional Christmas eve PJ's. I made our Pj's again this year and it was surprisingly hard to hem little baby pants. We then said our goodbyes and Devin and I headed for home.
This was the first year we have spent Christmas morning just by ourselves and it was quite enjoyable! We slept in as long as Tim would let us...8:30ish and then opened presents and had a delicious breakfast. I found a crock pot breakfast casserole and it was so easy!! Devin's biggest present was a (much needed) new phone and he spent all morning playing with it. He also got a bluetooth wireless speaker, jeans & sweater, and Indiana Jones Blu-ray set. My biggest present was season tickets to Tuacahn so we can see Jospeh & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Little Mermaid, & The Wizard of Oz. We're going to go this summer to see them and have Devin's mom come with us. She'll watch Tim for two of the performances and then she and I will go together to see one and Devin will watch Tim. I'm already excited....is it summer yet? I also got clothes, jewelry and some movies. For Tim's first Christmas he got a nice pack'n'play, an activity gym, clothes, and toys. Jimmer was also delighted to find in his stocking new balls, a new rope, and treats.
We went up to Devin's family's to exchange gifts and have lunch with them. It was so great to skype with Ben & Charlotte - We sure miss them! After Devin's we went back to my family's to give my parents their gifts. We also took part in a focus study for my brother-in-law and so we got to watch Saving Mr. Banks for free at their house. It was a great movie and I would really recommend it.
Well, that was basically our Christmas. Hope yours was great and that you have a happy new year!

Timothy's blessing
I'm sorry for those of you that actually like to follow my blog - I kind of fail at it! But I will try to do better so don't give up on me yet.
It's actually been almost a month since Timothy's baby blessing, but better late than never right?
Timothy Paul Andersen was blessed by Devin on November 26, 2013. It was great to be able to do it when so many of our family could be there. He had all but two uncles in the circle. Sadly, Ben & Charlotte in Texas and David & Catherine in Maine couldn't be there.
Look at all those great priesthood holders that were able to help in the circle! Tim definitely has some wonderful examples to look up to.
We tried getting a picture of everyone who was there, but there were so many people and Devin couldn't back up any more. Plus, he just had my phone which isn't the greatest - but it works. It was super fun to see my nephew Zach chase after Halli and want to give her hugs. Thanks everyone for coming and supporting us!!
Our cute family of three! Timothy was really good during the blessing and he fell asleep after it was over. I personally think he looks dead, but I promise he's alive and well :)
I was so proud of the outfit that I made him. I made the vest, bow-tie, and pants. We bought the white collared shirt though. The vest is even lined so you can't see any seams and it has faux pockets too. What's even more impressive is I didn't even have a pattern. I created a pattern from a black vest that we bought - then we returned the vest. ;) I just used another pair of his pants to create the pattern for his white pants. I love to sew and create things, so it was great to do that for my little guy.
I tried to get some pictures of Tim when we got home, but he was tired and would have none of it.
